Vietnam’s National Assembly President Trần Thanh Mẫn has embarked on an official visit to China, with the objective of bolstering bilateral relations and enhancing parliamentary collaboration between the two nations. Departing from Hanoi on Sunday, Mẫn’s trip follows an invitation from Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of China’s National People’s Congress.
During his visit, Mẫn will co-chair the second session of the cooperation committee between Vietnam’s National Assembly and China’s National People’s Congress. This session is anticipated to focus on strengthening coordination between the legislative bodies of both countries, reflecting a mutual interest in deepening political engagement and institutional cooperation.
