Vietnam and Russia are advancing their collaborative efforts in human resource training and scientific research, as leaders from both countries met to discuss strengthening these ties. On October 7, Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Chairman of the Commission for Policy and Strategy of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, engaged in talks with a Russian delegation in Hanoi. The discussions aimed at leveraging Russia’s expertise in high technology to meet Vietnam’s developmental needs.
Both parties underscored the importance of human resource development as a key area for future cooperation. They explored the potential of establishing stronger connections between educational and training institutions, increasing exchange programs for experts, and initiating joint research projects. The meeting highlighted mutual interest in enhancing engineer training and other collaborative initiatives.
Besides human resource development, the talks identified several other sectors with potential for expanded cooperation. Science and technology, innovation, energy, and oil and gas were highlighted as areas where both countries see opportunities for further collaboration.
This meeting represents a concerted effort by Vietnam and Russia to deepen their partnership through substantive exchanges in education, technology, and strategic research. Both nations aim to build on their respective strengths to foster mutual growth and development in these critical areas.
