From September 6 to 11, the President of the Vietnamese National Assembly, Trần Thanh Mẫn, accompanied by his spouse, will embark on an official visit to South Korea and Mongolia. This diplomatic journey is set to be a high-profile event, with Trần Thanh Mẫn leading a delegation to engage in discussions aimed at enhancing parliamentary ties.
These visits are being conducted upon the invitation of prominent leaders from both nations. In South Korea, the Vietnamese delegation will be hosted by Cho Jeong-sik, the Speaker of the South Korean National Assembly. Meanwhile, in Mongolia, engagements are scheduled with Sandag Byambatsogt, the Chairman of the Mongolian State Great Hural, the country’s legislative body.
The primary focus of these meetings is to bolster the relationship between Vietnam and the two host countries through heightened parliamentary cooperation. By fostering dialogue on legislative matters, the Vietnamese delegation aims to build upon existing partnerships and explore new avenues for collaboration.
This strategic move is seen as part of Vietnam’s broader efforts to enhance its international relations and strengthen its diplomatic footprint in the region. By engaging with South Korea and Mongolia, Vietnam seeks to tap into mutually beneficial opportunities and reinforce its standing on the global stage.
