His visit was not only a step towards enhancing Vietnam’s ties with Russia, but also a significant participation in the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit, which celebrated 35 years of ASEAN-Russia relations.

During his time in Russia, the prime minister traveled to Kazan, the capital city of the Republic of Tatarstan, where he took part in crucial summit sessions and business forums. He also met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and various regional leaders. The discussions during these meetings were centered on expanding cooperation across several sectors including investment, energy, trade, technology, and industrial development, reflecting a mutual interest in strengthening economic and strategic ties.

The Vietnamese delegation utilized this visit to engage with major Russian organizations and businesses. This engagement was marked by the signing of several cooperation agreements, which are expected to facilitate greater collaboration between the two countries. Another significant development from this visit was the announcement of new direct flight routes connecting Vietnam and Russia, a move likely to enhance travel and tourism between the nations.
